It has been a very busy summer so far for Real Madrid, with several important pieces of business having been done. The biggest of those saw Jose Mourinho return to the club for his second spell as head coach, 13 years after his first came to an end.

Because of how crazy it has been, some of Real Madrid’s current players, especially those at the 2026 World Cup, can be forgiven for not being too up-to-date with everything. Jude Bellingham falls into this category, and as per DAZN (via MD), he gave his reaction to the prospect of being managed by Mourinho next season.

“That’s good! He’s a top, top, top coach and I’m very happy with him.”

Bellingham was also asked to give his reaction to the news that Real Madrid have signed Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries, Marc Cucurella and Bernardo Silva, and it’s safe to say that he’s excited at the prospect of playing alongside the quartet from next season onwards.

“There are a lot of very good signings coming in. Players with a lot of quality, experience… at the moment I’m focused on England, but I’m very happy with these signings.”

Bellingham was speaking after being voted as player of the match for England’s goalless draw against Ghana. It has not been an easy start to the World Cup for the Real Madrid man, although he has been backed to return to his best form as the tournament in North America goes on.

Real Madrid will hope that Bellingham can get back to his best over the next couple of weeks. He had a difficult 2025-26 season on the whole, so they will want give to gain form and momentum going into the 2026-27 campaign, which kicks off in August.
