Julen Agirrezabala is close to joining Racing de Santander on loan after a verbal agreement with Athletic Club, with the deal still to be finalised before LaLiga begins the weekend of 14 August. According to Superdeporte, negotiations have moved forward and the goalkeeper could spend the season at El Sardinero.

Athletic had been seeking a solution for the 25-year-old for weeks. He was on loan at Valencia last season and will not remain under Terzic.
