Julian Alvarez was jeered and insulted by Atlético de Madrid supporters on his return to competitive action on Sunday, the 2-2 draw with Villarreal overshadowed by anger at his wish to join Barça.
According to L'Équipe, the home crowd directed abuse at the 26-year-old.
