Julián Calero has shared a video about Carlos Espí after the forward joined Real Madrid, offering congratulations and underlining Levante's part in his development.

According to Superdeporte, the footage revisits his spell around Levante's first team in 2024-25 and part of 2025-26, arguing that a player's growth extends beyond minutes on the pitch.

Calero set out the work carried out to shift Espí from youth prospect to professional, focusing on habits, weight, conditioning and agility.

The post addressed criticism of his handling of the youngster, noting that some judge only whether he starts rather than the background work, while praising Espí's humility and day-to-day application.

After Luis Castro took charge, Espí became a regular starter, scored 11 goals and made the final step before his move to Madrid.

Calero suggested this update could be among his last on social media. He will stop posting and commenting to focus entirely on Real Oviedo. He has thanked supporters and hopes to see them at football grounds.
