On July 26, 2009, Isaac Brizuela's life changed forever. On that day, 'Cone' took his first step in the top flight of Mexican soccer when he made his debut for Toluca in a match against Chivas. On that day, the result was irrelevant, as the most important thing was that it marked the beginning of a story that continues to be written 16 years later.

On July 26, 2009, the Lagos de Moreno native was a starter and played 68 minutes in that match on Matchday 1 of the 2009 Apertura Tournament. Thus began a career built on speed, dribbling, discipline, and a work ethic that have made him a highly respected player in Mexican soccer.

Few people know that "Cone" was not always a forward. He began his training as a right back and adapted to different positions in order to grow. That versatility and humility are part of what makes him special. In addition, he got used to working hard from a young age: at 13, he was already traveling alone on public transportation for two hours to go to training, in order to achieve his dream.

To date, he has won two league titles, one CONCACAF Champions Cup, two Copa MX titles, and one Supercopa MX title. In addition, 'Cone' has an interesting history with the national team, having won a gold medal at the 2011 Pan American Games, participated in the 2013 Gold Cup, and was subsequently called up for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

After a 16-year career, Brizuela has played more than 450 games in Liga MX, 289 of which were with the Rebaño Sagrado, and has scored 36 league goals (21 with Guadalajara).

Congratulations, 'Cone'!!!
