Even as Barcelona look to focus on their upcoming game against Getafe tonight, the club’s management is already gearing up for a busy week.
Barça have been working around the clock to make sure the Camp Nou is match-ready for the upcoming game against Real Sociedad.
But that remains an outside chance for now, even though the club are not giving up. Barcelona were ideally expected to play against Sociedad at Montjuic next weekend.
However, in a major development, Javi Miguel claims that the Barcelona municipality has informed the club that they cannot host any matches this month.
This comes on the back of earlier reports which suggested that the Montjuic is not match-ready at all, having just hosted a Post Malone concert.
The pitch had not been laid while the re-installation of the VAR cameras is also pending. With just a week remaining, the option of returning to Montjuic for the Sociedad clash has been completely ruled out.

The report adds that the Camp Nou options remain difficult as well, as the club still have to gain permits and make sure entry points are all operational.
This leaves Barcelona potentially playing another game at Estadi Johan Cruyff.
Indeed, the report suggests the Catalans will once again have to face Real Sociedad at Johan Cruyff, a stadium that has proven to be a lucky charm so far but has gravely impacted the club’s finances.
Playing another home game at Johan Cruyff, to that end, could once again hurt Barcelona financially, although it seems the club do not have any options left anymore.
