Crucial game for Bernal

The 18-year-old midfielder, who has several proposals on the table and is close to deciding his future, will be in the starting line-up at El Sardinero and has a major opportunity to showcase his talent.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has decided to place his trust in Bernal for an important match, with the aim of helping him gain confidence and continue his development within the team.

The German coach, who has only named him in the starting line-up once this season, believes that tonight’s match is a good opportunity to assess his level in a demanding context such as the Copa del Rey.

Bernal’s minutes in this match carry particular significance. The player has several proposals that he will review next week, and his involvement could be key in determining his next steps.

Flick counts on him and values his commitment on a daily basis, as well as the effort he shows in every training session. Even so, it cannot be completely ruled out that the player may look for more playing time away from the club in the second half of the season.

Girona among those interested

Several clubs are monitoring his situation, with Girona among those showing the strongest interest and pushing to secure his services until the end of the campaign.

The option remains open, although the player has made it clear that his priority, if he has the choice, is to stay in Barcelona.

Bernal would only consider a departure if the club believes that his involvement will be very limited and that he will not be able to continue progressing this season.

For now, his focus is on making the most of every opportunity and proving that he can earn a stable place in the squad.

Meanwhile, the report mentions that Dani Olmo will also be starting tonight against Racing Santander.
