Real Madrid will take on Osasuna on Saturday night away in Pamplona, hoping to extend their lead at the top of the La Liga table.

Last week’s win over Real Sociedad, coupled with Barcelona’s loss to Girona, has allowed Los Blancos to open up a two-point lead at the top. And with the Catalans not playing until Sunday afternoon, it provides Alvaro Arbeloa & co. with a chance to further stretch their advantage.

No Rodrygo again

Leading up to the match, though, Real Madrid will once again be without the services of Rodrygo Goes, reports MARCA.

The 25-year-old attacker has been unavailable for Real Madrid in their last three games against Valencia, Real Sociedad, and SL Benfica due to a hamstring problem, although he would have missed the last one even if he was fit as he was suspended.

A recovery time of ten days had been stipulated for the Brazilian when his injury was announced on 6 February. However, it has been almost two weeks now but he has yet to resume training with the team.

As such, his absence for the trip to El Sadar to face Osasuna tomorrow night is pretty much confirmed at this point.

So far this term, the Brazilian international has featured 26 times in all competitions, managing only three goals and six assists in the process.

Apart from Rodrygo, Real Madrid will also be without the services of midfielder Jude Bellingham and defender Eder Militao.

Raul Asencio, who missed the Benfica match through suspension, will be back available at manager Arbeloa’s disposal.
