In a concerning bit of development for Real Madrid, journalist Carlos Rodriguez reports that ace goalscorer Kylian Mbappe is a doubt to face Real Sociedad this weekend.

The 27-year-old megastar was absent from group training on Wednesday as he opted to work inside the gym facilities.

Now, for a second consecutive day, the French international did not train with the rest of the squad, raising concerns about his condition.

As per the update from the journalist, Mbappe is dealing with discomfort in his left knee, the same one which he had injured back in December and missed a few games as a result.

Given the situation, the France captain is now considered a doubt for Real Madrid’s upcoming La Liga game against Real Sociedad.

Los Blancos take on the Basque club on Saturday night at the Santiago Bernabeu, hoping to take a lead in the La Liga title race, considering Barcelona will not be in action until Monday night.

But they might have to make do without Mbappe for the game, while Jude Bellingham is also ruled out and Rodrygo Goes is also a doubt.

So far this season, Mbappe has bagged 38 goals from 31 matches in all competitions, while also registering five assists. As such, his absence will be severely felt by Los Blancos in case he does end up missing the match against Sociedad.

The only positive is that Vinicius Jr. will be back and available after missing the weekend trip to Valencia due to suspension for an accumulation of yellow cars.
