Only minutes after the club announced that Federico Valverde had suffered an muscle injury, journalist Rodra reports that another key player for Real Madrid, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, is also injured.
While an official statement has not been issued by the club at the time of writing, the journalist states that the Real Madrid shot-stopper will not be joining the Belgian national team for their upcoming matches in the international break.
Courtois ended last evening’s game against Rayo Vallecano with some discomfort, with reports suggesting that he had sustained a right thigh strain.

The Belgian international arrived at Valdebebas earlier today to undergo tests, and pending official confirmation, he too has suffered an injury.
As a result, Courtois will not be joining Belgium as they take on Kazakhstan (15 November) and Liechtenstein (18 November) in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
One of Real Madrid’s most important and reliable players, Courtois has come up clutch for the team time and again this season.
As such, Xabi Alonso & co. will be hoping to have him back at the earliest possible. The Merengues’ next game is against Elche right after the international break, which is when Valverde is expected to be back. And the hope will be that Courtois returns by then too.
