Justin Kluivert could hand Valencia CF an indirect boost if he delivers against Real Sociedad for Bournemouth in the Europa League, days before Real Sociedad travel to Mestalla on Sunday at 21:00.
According to Superdeporte, Valencia again have extra preparation time because they are not in Europe, while Real Sociedad face the Premier League side after a bruising home loss to Atlético Madrid.
Kluivert has opened the 2026/27 campaign as a key figure for Bournemouth. He has started the first four league games, logging 298 minutes with one goal and no assists. His first strike arrived last time out against Brentford, when he opened the scoring in a 2-2 draw from an attacking midfield role.
Bournemouth’s collective start has not been easy, with no wins in four, one defeat and three draws. Even so, Kluivert remains central to Marco Rose’s plans and also started the cup victory over Lincoln City.
After a past season of reduced output, two goals in 20 Premier League matches, the 27-year-old is aiming to reassert himself in the final third. The Brentford goal marked his first meaningful step of the new campaign, and his display against Real Sociedad could influence the visitors’ mood before Mestalla.
