Juventude family harassed by home fans after receiving Grêmio shirt before Gauchão semi-final

An off-field incident marred the second leg of the Gauchão semi-final between Juventude and Grêmio, as a home family were harassed in the Alfredo Jaconi stands after receiving a Grêmio shirt.

Juventude said the security intervention was initiated by the club to protect the family, who were invited to move and escorted to another section, and that the shirt was later returned to the boy.

The incident began when a young Juventude fan held up a sign asking for the shirt of Grêmio defender Kannemann. His request was granted, which sparked protests from nearby home fans.

Video footage shows security staff arriving, speaking to the family and taking the shirt, which left the child in tears.

The flashpoint occurred before kick-off.
