Despite suffering a 4-3 defeat to Juventus in Saturday’s Derby d’Italia clash, Inter Milan can take positives as Hakan Calhanoglu recovers his form.

The talismanic midfielder scored a brace in the loss to the Bianconeri and was by far the best player on the pitch in blue and black.

Calhanoglu’s efforts to get his side back in the game were not enough.

Old Lady substitute Vasilije Adzic scored a last-minute winner to give the hosts all three points.

The former Bayer Leverkusen played had a tumultuous summer.

Calhanoglu was linked with a move to Turkish side Galatasaray and had a public falling out with Inter captain Lautaro Martinez.

It was just, however, a misunderstanding blown out of proportion and the duo have since made up.

Italian news outlet Tuttosport had kind words for the Turkish midfielder.

The newspaper praised the Inter star’s “broad shoulders” on which he attempted to carry his side last night.

They argue that Calhanoglu’s return to form is good news for head coach Cristian Chivu.

Chivu has come under fire at the start of the season.

The Nerazzurri face their worst start to a campaign in 14 years.

“Regardless of how things went last night, Inter should hold on to him very tightly,” Tuttosport concluded.
