Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho may be on his way to Juventus on loan according to recent developments.

Having returned to Man United following a loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, Sancho has since reconciled with manager Erik ten Hag, with whom he had a fallout which led to his exile last season.

While used extensively during the pre-season, Sancho has not appeared in either of United’s first two Premier League games, indicating that he may not have a part in Ten Hag’s future plans.

In recent weeks, transfer rumours have surged regarding a potential Old Trafford exit for the English winger before the ongoing transfer window closes. One team that appears to be making concrete moves toward signing the 24 year old is Serie A club Juventus.

This morning, sports journalist Nicolò Schira posted on X that Juventus are advancing their pursuit of Sancho.

“Expected today a new round talks between #Juventus and #ManchesterUnited for Jadon #Sancho. #Juve are ready to sign him on loan, if #MUFC support Bianconeri about the payment of a part of the salary,” Schira posted.

Three days ago, The Peoples Person relayed news that Juventus had opened communication channels with United over a potential loan plus obligation to buy for the struggling winger.

Yesterday, it was reported that the deal hit a snag due to the difference between the two clubs’ requirements for a deal.

While United slapped a £40 million price on Sancho, Juventus were allegedly unwilling to meet this price tag while only seeking a loan without an obligation to buy. Furthermore, the Italian club allegedly wanted United to pay part of Sancho’s salary during his loan spell.

Still, United may yet manage to force Juventus to accept at least some of their terms given the interest shown in Sancho by Chelsea.

Yesterday, it emerged that the Blues are interested in pursuing Sancho, with the Premier League club exploring a potential swap deal that could include Raheem Sterling or Ben Chilwell.

With the transfer deadline fast approaching, United should seek to fast-track a deal to offload Sancho, especially given the abundance of wingers at their disposal and the financial benefits that would come with no longer paying the English national’s salary.

Still, Ten Hag must ensure that he does not cave into either team’s demands without pushback, especially since interest in Sancho from multiple clubs appears to be heating up.
