Juventus and Napoli share the same offensive targets, as they are both keen on Youssef En-Nesyri and Daniel Maldini. The former is the top fallback target for the Bianconeri should they fail to sign Jean-Philippe Mateta, Sky reports.
The striker is back from AFCON and will now decide his future. He’s no longer a cornerstone for Fenerbahce, which could agree to let him go on loan. The Moroccan talisman is looking for a team where he can play consistently. He has scored 8 times in 25 matches across all competitions.
Napoli zeroed in on En-Nesyri to replace Lorenzo Lucca, who’s choosing between Nottingham Forest and Pisa, while Juventus are examining him because of the issues in the Mateta talks, instead, Maldini has been offered to both, to deputize Kenan Yildiz and substitute for Noa Lang, respectively.
The 24-year-old joined Atalanta on a €13M switch from Monza last January but never managed to become a fixture, even if Ademola Lookman missed multiple games because of international duties. He has recorded 3 goals and assisted once in 22 tilts with La Dea. According to Alfredo Pedullà, the Bianconeri have done more homework on him than the Partenopei, which instead seem to prefer Raheem Sterling.
If the marksman’s priority is to be a regular, chances are he won’t pick either side. Antonio Conte rarely rotates, Rasmus Hojlund has been an ironman, and Romelu Lukaku is ready to play. While the Old Lady needs a more physical option, they won’t discard Jonathan David and Lois Openda altogether. The Italian youngster would be a better fit in Turin, but he too could have more alluring opportunities elsewhere.
