Reports in Italy claim that Juventus are attempting to lower Sassuolo’s valuation of centre-back Tarik Muharemovic, despite the fact that the Bianconeri already have a 50% sell-on clause for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international.

Sassuolo have €40m Muharemovic valuation, €20m for Juventus

There are growing reports that Juventus could bring former Next Gen talent Muharemovic back to the club after an impressive two-season spell on loan with Sassuolo.

Bologna’s Jhon Lucumi has also been mentioned as a potential option for Juventus, who are looking to strengthen at centre-back, but he is valued at €25m and the Bianconeri feel there is a cheaper deal to be had for Muharemovic instead.

For Juventus, there is also the added benefit of having former Sassuolo chief Giovanni Carnevali in place as the club’s new CEO, which they hope will make negotiations with the Neroverdi fairly straightforward.

Sassuolo have reportedly slapped a €40m valuation on Muharemovic, but Juventus have a 50% sell-on clause, which means that they are looking at the prospect of having to hand over €20m in cash in order to bring Muharemovic back to the club.

Still, according to reports from Calciomercato.com, the Bianconeri are hoping to lower Sassuolo’s €40m valuation, which would of corse mean a reduction on the €20m fee that they would have to pay.

Talks between the two clubs are expected to take place this week.
