The future of Robert Lewandowski remains uncertain, with his contract at FC Barcelona set to expire at the end of the ongoing season.

No concrete talks have taken place yet, but Barça are open to offering him a one-year contract as long as he is ready to accept a significant pay cut.

In the meantime, the 37-year-old superstar striker is also attracting interest from clubs across Europe, Saudi Arabia, and the USA.

Juventus crunching the numbers

Juventus, for one, have emerged as a strong suitor for the Poland captain. And, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Mundo Deportivo), the Bianconeri are already assessing the financial feasibility of the operation as they intend to sign the Barcelona star.

Representatives of the Italian club attended the Poland vs Albania match in Warsaw last Thursday to observe him in person and make contact over a possible transfer.

Now, they have already analysed the economic viability of the transfer and believe it is possible, although several player departures would be necessary.

Juventus intend to renew Dusan Vlahovic’s contract and form a forward partnership with Lewandowski next season. The Bianconeri are also aiming to bring back Randal Kolo Muani, currently owned by PSG and on loan at Tottenham, in order to build a strong attacking line.

This plan would require them to offload players such as Jonathan David, Edon Zhegrova, Arkadiusz Milik and Lois Openda, for whom the club must now pay €45 million due to a mandatory purchase clause.

Additionally, the sale of Nico Gonzalez, currently on loan at Atletico Madrid, is expected to contribute to the financial balance. This is Juventus’s proposed strategy to accommodate Lewandowski within its financial structure.

The 37-year-old striker, though, has insisted that he was not in any hurry to make a decision over his future and that he would assess every option carefully before making a call.
