Juventus are closing in on the signing of Kamil Grabara from Wolfsburg, with the Poland goalkeeper set to arrive in Turin as understudy to Guglielmo Vicario.

According to Calciomercato.com, Giovanni Carnevali and Frederic Massara are finalising the deal, with only the last details left to settle. The negotiation is described as having entered its decisive phase, and Grabara could be in Italy within the coming days once terms are signed off.

Grabara to replace Perin as Juventus back-up

The move has been made necessary by two departures as Michele Di Gregorio has joined Bournemouth, and Mattia Perin is set to follow him out of the club with a switch to Palermo, leaving Juventus without a senior alternative behind their new first choice.

Perin’s imminent exit made for an awkward scene at Frosinone on Sunday, the 33-year-old pressed into service in stoppage time when Vicario went down. Luciano Spalletti confirmed afterwards that the problem was only cramp.

Grabara joined Wolfsburg from Copenhagen in 2024 and came through the Liverpool academy earlier in his career. He would become the latest piece of business completed by Juventus’ new-look management team.
