Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma is a target for Juventus as the Bianconeri look to strengthen their ranks this summer.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Bissouma is atop Juventus general manager Damien Comolli’s list, and Spurs are open to selling.
Interestingly, Comolli used to work at Tottenham, and the report mentions that he could use his connection with the North London club to land the Malian, whose contract expires next year.
Per the report, his valuation fluctuates between €15-20 million.
Bissouma joined Tottenham from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2022 and started well under Antonio Conte.
Unfortunately, he hit a snag and has never rediscovered his best form since then.
The 28-year-old, who earns £55,000 per week, had a particularly dreadful 2024/25 campaign, receiving damning criticisms for error-strewn performances.
National media blasted an awful cameo against Aston Villa in May and another notably poor showing in the North London Derby in January.
Tottenham are unsurprisingly open to a sale, and the funds from that sale will likely be added to whatever is in their coffers to sign a new defensive midfielder.
Spurs need a new midfielder at the base of the engine room to anchor proceedings and screen the defence.
Surprisingly, Tottenham have been dragging their feet regarding signing a new defensive midfielder, considering how crucial plugging that gap is.
The club was quite porous and lacked any steel through the midfield. It should be a priority.
Spurs need an athletic, mobile, and solid presence in that engine room and should be considering a swoop for Sevilla star Lucien Agoume.
The former Inter Milan star has been tipped for big things since he first emerged from the Sochaux academy in 2019. He is the profile the Tottenham engine room is crying out for.
Agoume is a steely midfielder who will allow others like Lucas Bergvall, Rodrigo Bentancur, and James Maddison to shine.
