Khephren Thuram has moved decisively to shut down speculation linking him with Inter Milan, making his stance clear during a wide-ranging interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Juventus midfielder, brother of Inter striker Marcus Thuram, insisted he is settled in Turin and has no intention of crossing the rivalry divide.

“I’m happy at Juventus and I would never go to Inter,” he said, with quotes via FCInterNews.

Indeed responding directly to recent market rumours about a possible reunion with his brother in Milan.

Reflecting on his upbringing, Thuram spoke warmly about his childhood experiences around elite football.

“When my dad moved from Juventus to Barcelona, we often went with him to training,” he recalled.

“Messi was already very strong as a kid and once gave Marcus a pair of football boots. Ronaldinho, as well as being phenomenal with the ball, was kind and always smiling. My brother and I took a bit of that smile from him. Life is beautiful and you have to laugh.”

Asked about growing up with a famous father, Thuram downplayed material privilege. “I honestly can’t think of a best gift,” he said.

“Our parents gave Marcus and me a lot of love, but without spoiling us. I never felt recommended, only lucky. The privilege isn’t being Lilian Thuram’s son, but having a father who loves me so much.”

Turning to the Serie A title race, Thuram refused to narrow it to Inter and Milan.

“Never say never,” he said. “At Juventus you always play to win, and then we’ll see at the end.”

On the idea of playing alongside Marcus at club level, he was equally firm.

“At Juve, no. Marcus has his own team. We play together with France, and that’s enough.”

Finally, asked again about Inter’s reported interest earlier this month, Thuram dismissed it without hesitation.

“You can’t follow every rumour. I’m happy at Juve and I would never go to Inter.”
