Juventus are in advanced talks to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club are set to be without the Senegalese midfielder after he told Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi that he wants to leave the club.
Richarlison and Kevin Danso have also asked to leave the Lilywhites ahead of next Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Juventus have already sent a verbal proposal to Tottenham for Sarr, offering a loan deal with a mandatory option to buy him.
Discussions with his representatives are now expected to advance, with Juventus set to pip AS Monaco, Besiktas and English clubs to his services.
Danso’s agents have reportedly met with Aston Villa today.
Spurs rejected Sunderland’s loan enquiry for the Austria international but he wants to leave.
The 27-year-old wants regular playing opportunities after starting the opening three games of 2026-27 on the bench.
Tottenham have strengthened in defence and midfield so far and could opt against bringing in replacements should Sarr and Danso leave.
Savio and Omar Marmoush have bolstered the Spurs attack following their arrivals from Manchester City.
However, De Zerbi still wants one more forward and will have to move on to other targets after Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo decided that he wants to join Man City.
Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye is an option for the North Londoners, and a swap deal which would see Richarlison move in the opposite direction has been mooted.
Back-to-back Premier League defeats this term have set the alarm bells ringing at Spurs after splashing the cash so far in the summer transfer window.
De Zerbi will be desperate to bounce back against Nottingham Forest next Saturday.
The Italian also has a few transfer decisions to make before then and he has to get things right.
