Defender Lenglet has for his part of course spent the season to date plying his trade with Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid.
This comes after the brass at Barcelona agreed to farm their out-of-favour stopper out on loan to their La Liga rivals for the duration of the campaign.
Lenglet has since gone on to rediscover some of his very best form in Spain’s capital, having established himself as a key member of Atlético’s backline.
The widespread expectation, in turn, has long been that the Rojiblancos will move to make the Frenchman’s signing permanent in the summer.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Wednesday is anything to go by, then such a move is by no means assured.
This comes amid the revelation that another of European football’s top clubs have entered the fray for Lenglet.
As per MD, citing Italian sources, in the knowledge that Atlético are hesitant to meet Barcelona’s €10 million asking price, Juventus have begun sniffing around the former Sevilla man’s signature:
‘Cristiano Giuntoli, head of Juventus, believes Lenglet would be a great addition, and doesn’t believe ten million is an exorbitant sum. The Italian club believes the current Atlético player would bring experience and reliability.’
