Juventus have approached Chelsea about the prospect of signing midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka.
Chukwuemeka is free to leave Chelsea after struggling to establish himself in West London since a £20m move from Aston Villa in 2022.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, who have been working to sign the midfielder on a permanent basis.
Dortmund have had a series of offers rejected this summer and Juventus are now ready to rival the German side for Chukwuemeka.
Journalist Ben Jacobs is reporting that Juventus have approached Chelsea to discuss the terms of a potential deal.
Chelsea are currently unwilling to sanction another loan exit and are insisting on a permanent transfer. However, no side has yet submitted an offer that reaches the club’s demands.
Chukwuemeka has started just four Premier League games for Chelsea and is keen to explore his options in search of a more prominent role.
The England youth international is one of several names Chelsea are looking to offload before September’s deadline. Other names that permanent suitors are being sought for include Axel Disasi and Christopher Nkunku.
