Juventus are now making swift progress in their move to land Lille’s Tiago Djalo in January.
It did seem as if Djalo was going to be an Inter player in the summer but Juve have decided to move for him this month and they have made big progress.
La Gazzetta dello Sport state that Djalo would be interested in heading to the Bianconeri in January, with Juve having convinced him to rethink his plans about only leaving in the summer. Juve have now overtaken Inter in the race and a move is edging closer.
Cristiano Guintoli believes that his club are reaching the finishing line, as talks with Djalo’s entourage were quite positive. Next week, the player’s entourage will meet the Juve executives to finalise the last few details of the defender’s contract.
A general agreement with Lille is already in place, with Juve having agreed to pay €2 million plus future bonuses of a similar amount. Djalo knew that he would not be a regular for the rest of the season and that convinced him about a move to Juve, who would play him regularly.
