Lille president OIiver Letang admitted to having had some contacts with Juventus regarding Edon Zhegrova but affirmed that the ace wouldn’t depart this summer. Despite that, the Bianconeri are continuing to track him, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
The winger has sent some signals on his social media pages. A last-minute deal remains possible, also because he has just one year left on his contract and no intention of renewing it.
In addition to pursuing Zhegrova, Juventus are working on multiple fronts. They continue to negotiate with PSG for Randal Kolo Muani, and Lucas Beraldo has come up during the conversations between the two sides. The Ligue 1 champions signed him for €20M from São Paulo in 2024. He has featured 63 times since then.
The Bianconeri would add another defender only if Lloyd Kelly were to leave. He’s wanted by Crystal Palace and Sunderland. Though, his valuation is robust since the Old Lady paid €17M to acquire him not too long ago. Moreover, onboarding the youngster would fill their quota of extra-EU signings.
They are keeping a spot open for Nahuel Molina, who’s their favorite option for the right wing. Cholo Simeone prefers keeping him, and the talks involving Nicolas Gonzalez haven’t heated up yet. The ex-Fiorentina ace is pushing to move to Spain.
They have a lot of balls in the air and so little time to sort out several deals. They have completed a couple of big ones, but the sales are still the main obstacle to executing their plans. They should send the Argentine to the Colchoneros only if they get their primary target in return. It’d be least surprising if they landed the Lille star on a free in a year.
