Juventus are hoping to take advantage of the tense situation between Jadon Sancho and Manchester United to get a deal done quickly.

Their interest in the England international goes back many weeks, but there were concerns that the price-tag was excessive.

Now that Manchester United have officially extended the contract with coach Erik ten Hag, it means the likelihood of Sancho returning to Old Trafford is extremely slim following the tension between them.

It is reported today in England that Manchester United warned the player must turn up to pre-season training next week after a loan spell at Borussia Dortmund.

Considering his contract only runs to June 2026 and he could be sent to train with the academy kids away from the main squad, this is not a situation anyone at Manchester United wants.

Sancho eager for Juventus chance

Juventus are prepared to sign Sancho on loan with an option to buy, but do not want a permanent transfer to be paid upfront.

Manchester United paid €85m to sign him from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021, but the total breakdown in the rapport with Ten Hag proved disastrous.

He is only 24 years old and can play in a variety of wide attacking roles, last season scoring three goals with three assists in 21 games for Borussia Dortmund.
