They have endured a poor start to the season, leading to the dismissal of former manager Igor Tudor on Monday.
Juventus are winless in their last eight games. They are 12 points adrift of table-toppers Napoli and have yet to win a game in the Champions League this season.
Tudor was appointed as Thiago Motta’s replacement in March and guided Juventus to Champions League qualification.
The board backed him during the summer transfer window, but he has led the club to their worst start to a season in over two decades.
Juventus will hope that Spalletti hits the ground running, as they cannot afford a further poor run of form.
The 66-year-old is one of the most revered coaches in Italian football, despite his unsuccessful tenure as the national team coach.
He was inducted into the Italian Hall of Fame after guiding Napoli to the Serie A title in the 2022/23 season.
Reserve team manager Massimo Brambilla will be in the dugout for their league fixture against Udinese at Allianz Stadium later today.
