Juventus rejects Porto’s offer for Gatti as Galatasaray joins the race | OneFootball

Juventus are open to allowing Federico Gatti to leave this summer, with clubs that still have their transfer windows open able to make a move for the defender.

The Bianconeri are looking to continue improving their squad, and Gatti’s departure would not be viewed as a huge loss by the Old Lady. Juve would love to keep him, but as they build their team around other players, they are prepared to allow him to leave if he wants to move.

Gatti wants to stay, but Juventus have kept the door open for a possible departure. FC Porto are interested in adding him to their squad and have already made an offer to Juve as they explore a deal for the defender.

Porto approach Gatti

The Portuguese side wants to sign Gatti on loan, but Juventus have rejected their approach. Calciomercato reports that Juve will only allow the defender to leave temporarily if the agreement includes an obligation for Porto to sign him permanently.

That stance reflects Juventus’ desire to offload players from their squad rather than simply allow them to leave temporarily. At this stage of the transfer window, the Bianconeri are not particularly keen on loan deals that do not provide a clear route to a permanent departure.

Gatti remains keen to stay at Juve, meaning there is no indication that he is actively pushing to leave. However, the club’s willingness to consider a departure means his future remains open while other teams continue to show interest.

Galatasaray also interested

Galatasaray are the other club interested in signing Gatti and have also signalled their interest in a move during this window. Their involvement gives the defender another potential destination if they decide to make an offer that meets Juventus’ demands.

For now, Juve are waiting to see whether either club will improve their proposal. The Bianconeri want any departure to suit their plans, particularly because they are looking to reduce the number of players in the squad.

Gatti could therefore remain with Juventus if the interested clubs fail to satisfy their conditions. Although the door is open for his departure, the Old Lady will not simply accept an offer that does not match what they want from the deal.
