The transfer involving Juventus and Cagliari for striker Alberto Cerri is now under investigation.
Giovanni Albanese has reported that the transfer is being looked at as part of the Prisma Investigation, with the Prosecutor of Cagliari now looking at the move which saw Cerri go from Juve to the Sardinian side in the summer of 2018 on a permanent basis.
The player was, in fact, sold by the bianconeri on loan with an obligation to buy in July 2018, with Cagliari having the obligation to sign him for €1 million plus €9 million upon meeting certain conditions. The permanent move was completed in February 2019. The magistrates suspect irregularities that allowed the clubs to obtain financial benefits.
An in-depth look is taking place at the move, and it is currently the responsibility of the Prosecutor of Cagliari to understand if any irregularities were witnessed. The articulate manner of the transfer is seen as rather shady.
