Tuttosport reports that Juventus scouts watched Arnaud Kalimuendo in France’s U21 defeat against Austria on Tuesday, while Brazilian centre-back Leo Ortiz is seen as a possible replacement for Gleison Bremer.

Juventus will be looking for a centre-back and a centre-forward in the January transfer window.

Thiago Motta needs a backup to Dusan Vlahovic, given that Arkadiusz Milik will remain out of action for several weeks with an injury, but the priority will be a central defender to replace the injured Gleison Bremer.

According to the latest Tuttosport report, the Old Lady’s scouts watched France U21 talent Kalimuendo in a game against Austria yesterday.

The Bianconeri target found the net even if his team lost 2-1.

For the centre-back role, the Brazilian Leo Ortiz is a new name linked with a move to Turin.

Currently under contract with Flamengo, the 28-year-old has a €30m clause, a fee that Juventus are unwilling to pay.

However, according to the report, Ortiz is a long-time Giuntoli target, as the Juventus director already wanted to bring him to Napoli years ago.

Ortiz is one of the many names linked to replacing Bremer. Others include Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior and Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah.
