Juventus send Adzic to Sassuolo, so Cagliari focus on Maldini instead | OneFootball

Juventus talent Vasilije Adzic will join Sassuolo on loan with option to buy, plus a counter-option for the Bianconeri, so Cagliari instead look to Daniel Maldini of Atalanta.

Sky Sport Italia are confident that the deal is done for Sassuolo to take Adzic on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

However, the Bianconeri are determined to keep control of his career, so have retained a crucial buy-back option in the contracts.

Adzic only turned 20 in May and has been on the Juve books since the €7.2m move from Buducnost Podgorica in the summer of 2024.

Already a senior Montenegro international with two goals in six caps, he made the step up from the Next Gen side to the senior Juventus squad, amassing one goal in 26 games.

Cagliari had been interested in Adzic too, so now that they have missed out on him, Sportitalia report that they have turned their attention towards Atalanta forward Maldini.

The 24-year-old was purchased from AC Monza for €13m in February 2025, but spent the last six months on loan at Lazio.
