Serie A giants Juventus see Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg as a replacement for Paul Pogba and will hold talks for the player soon.
Corriere dello Sport (via TMW) today have detailed Juve’s interest in the Danish midfielder, who is out of Ange Postecoglou’s project at Tottenham and is seeking to leave after links with Manchester United and Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window.
The midfielder’s agent will be in Turin in the next few days and he will meet with the Bianconeri for talks regarding a January move. Juve want to sign the player on a loan deal in January, but Spurs want to sell him permanently only and want a fee of at least €30 million to part ways with the ex-Southampton man.
There are many weeks left for the January transfer window to swing open and things and terms of the deal could change by that point, with the two clubs yet to be in contact with each other. As of now, Højbjerg is Juve’s top priority to replace Pogba.
