Arthur Melo’s six-year spell at Juventus looks to be drawing to a close, with the Brazilian midfielder heading towards a contract termination rather than another loan move.
According to Sky Sport, via TuttoMercatoWeb, the Bianconeri and Arthur are working towards tearing up the deal that currently ties him to the club until 30 June 2027.
He arrived in 2020 from Barcelona for around €80m, in the same deal that sent Miralem Pjanic to Catalonia for €60m, but never established himself in Turin.

After two largely peripheral seasons, 22 Serie A appearances in his first year, 20 in his second, Arthur was sent out on loan for four consecutive campaigns, spending time at Liverpool, Fiorentina, Girona and, most recently, Gremio, without any club exercising an option to make the move permanent.
His stint back at his boyhood club in Brazil was by some distance his most productive, reviving a career that had appeared to stall completely, but Gremio’s financial situation ultimately prevented them from meeting Juventus’ valuation.
With no obvious next loan destination and his contract still running for another year, Juventus now appear ready to formally end the relationship rather than send him out again.
