Feyenoord defender David Hancko is a valued target for Juventus. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Voetbal Primeur, the Turin club will enter the market for a central defender in January and the Slovakian is an important option.
The Old Lady enter the market after Gleison Bremer’s torn cruciate ligament injury sees him set for the sidelines for the rest of the season.
Hancko is allegedly top of the wish list, while the likes of Milan Skriniar of Paris Saint-Germain, Kevin Danso (RC Lens), Radu Dragusin (Tottenham Hotspur), Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen) and Joachim Andersen (Fulham) have also all been mentioned.
Whether Feyenoord will let the 26-year-old leave is one thing. For how much too, is another. The Rotterdammers did everything they could this summer to keep the Slovakian from leaving for Atletico Madrid and they succeeded.
Hancko has been a regular starter since his arrival in 2022 and has a contract until the summer of 2028. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at 35 million euros, but Feyenoord will certainly want more for the centre-back.
While the transfer fee is something of a grey area for between the Dutch and Italian clubs, Juventus are hopeful that their good relationship with De Kuip’s residents can get negotiations moving. Juve loaned Facundo Gonzalez to the Rotterdammers last summer with an option to buy and that deal is said to have helped the relationship between the clubs considerably. Hancko has reportedly been a target for months.
