Hostile atmosphere for Juventus coach Spalletti on Napoli return

This is the first time that coach Luciano Spalletti has returned to the Stadio Maradona as an opponent following the Scudetto triumph of 2023.

With that in mind, he knows the atmosphere well and took steps to avoid potential problems, such as the familiar routine of fans setting off fireworks all night outside the team hotel to stop opposition players getting a good sleep.

Instead, Juve only made the journey down south this afternoon, and their hotel was based right next to the home of Napoli coach Antonio Conte.

Nonetheless, there was still trouble for the Juventus players, as DAZN Italia report, via CalcioNapoli24, the team bus was pelted with rocks on the road to the Stadio Maradona, and some windows were smashed.

The most important thing is that nobody was hurt by the incident, but it confirms the dangers of this fixture amid a bitter rivalry.
