Juventus defender Alex Sandro will miss Sunday’s Serie A game against Roma due to a muscle injury, while Kenan Yildiz should be available despite training separately today.
Alex Sandro won’t be eligible on Sunday when Juventus visit Roma at the Stadio Olimpico in a key match for the top five in Serie A, Football Italia understands.
On Friday morning, the Brazilian defender underwent medical tests highlighting a minor injury to the soleus muscle of his right leg. Therefore, Massimiliano Allegri and Juventus doctors decided he would not travel to Rome with the rest of the team.
Turkish striker Yildiz trained separately at Continassa on Friday morning, but Juventus are confident he will still be available on Sunday.
The Bianconeri will train again on Saturday afternoon before leaving for Rome, while Allegri will address the media at a pre-match press conference at 10:00 UK time (GMT+1).
Juventus have collected just 13 points in the last 13 Serie A matches and have yet to mathematically secure a Champions League spot for 2024-25.
