Juventus have entered the chase for Marseille forward Mason Greenwood, setting up a Serie A tussle with Roma after a prolific season in the French top flight.
Calciomercato reports that the Bianconeri have moved aggressively, monitoring Greenwood's situation and could lodge a formal bid if an opening appears.
Roma's prolonged talks with Marseille have stalled, with the French club holding to a €50 million fee plus add-ons. The Giallorossi have a verbal agreement on personal terms with the 24-year-old, yet valuations remain apart.
Roma are understood to be preparing an offer above €50m to satisfy manager Gian Piero Gasperini, who views the former Manchester United forward as central to next season's plans.
The pursuit is linked to potential sales, with Roma willing to sacrifice midfielder Manu Kone to help finance the move. The Frenchman is on the radar of Arsenal and Chelsea, while he is said to prefer a switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
What had been a three-club race has narrowed after Fenerbahce cooled their interest. The Istanbul side had explored a package worth €12m per season, dependent on presidential candidate Hakan Safi winning the election, which he lost. New president Aziz Yildirim admires the player but is unwilling to match those terms, leaving Juventus and Roma as the main contenders.
