Juventus have revived their move for Corinthians midfielder André Luiz, 20, with an official bid expected in the coming days, ESPN Brasil reports. The Turin club made an initial approach last week.
Corinthians hold 70% of his economic rights. He also appeals to coach Luciano Spalletti, and interest has been maintained by new football chief Frederic Massara, who has continued talks.
Juventus’s push for André is independent of the situation of Arthur, a midfielder targeted by Corinthians. The two dealings are not linked.
Burdened by debt near R$ 2.7 billion, Corinthians set a 2026 target of R$ 151 million from player-rights sales. The club also have two active FIFA transfer bans for late payment to Philadelphia Union over José Martínez and multiple warnings.
Juventus had already signalled interest earlier this year with a proposal. A move came closer with Milan, who offered €15 million plus €2 million in bonuses, and 20% of any future capital gain.
After strong fan opposition and public criticism from then coach Dorival Júnior, the board led by Osmar Stabile rejected Milan’s bid, angering Milan.
Promoted in August 2025, André became a starter. He missed about a month with a right ankle sprain, then had a shorter issue in 2026, later regaining Fernando Diniz’s trust.
He has 42 appearances, 27 starts, with 17 wins, 15 draws, 10 defeats and seven goals. He was part of the squads that won the Copa do Brasil and the Supercopa Rei.
