Juventus to welcome defender back within a month

Juventus have been plagued by injuries, but in the coming weeks, some of their seriously injured players will begin to return and become available for selection again. The Bianconeri have already faced a difficult start to the new season, with several important players unavailable.

The men at the Allianz Stadium have lost the likes of Kenan Yildiz, Jeff Ekhator and Khephren Thuram to long-term injuries over the last few weeks. They are only three games into the new season, yet injuries have already become a significant issue for the team.

Cabal expected to return soon

As time goes on, Juventus expect the situation to ease, with Juan Cabal currently the first player they expect to return. The Colombian was expected to leave the club during the last transfer window, but his proposed move to Atalanta broke down on deadline day.

Cabal suffered an injury only a few days later and has since been spending time on the treatment table. However, La Gazzetta dello Sport says he is the first player Juventus expect to return from injury in the next few weeks.

After Cabal, several other players are also expected to return and become available again. His comeback will therefore provide Juventus with another option as the Bianconeri continue dealing with their injury problems.

However, Cabal’s return is unlikely to excite the manager because he is not one of the team’s regular starters. Juventus have better players competing for the left back position, which is one of the reasons they wanted Cabal to leave the club during the transfer window.

Juventus still have concerns at left back

Despite his expected return, Cabal could still find it difficult to establish himself in the starting team once he is fit again. The Bianconeri already have stronger options competing for his position, meaning his availability may not immediately change the manager’s plans.

For Juventus, the priority will be seeing their injured players return one by one. With several absences affecting the squad only three games into the season, getting players back will be important as the campaign continues.

Cabal could be the first of several players to return in the coming weeks, giving Juventus more options. However, his comeback is unlikely to alter the competition for the left-back position, where the Bianconeri already have players they consider better options.
