Besides French midfielder, the Old Lady have been linked with a host of names, and here we take a look at some of their latest transfer rumours.

Improved offer for Di Maria

Angel Di Maria is one of the top targets for Juve, who are in the market for a new right-winger who can take the place of outgoing Paulo Dybala.

The Old Lady were said to be in pole position to sign Di Maria, who is also available on a free transfer after parting ways with Paris Saint-Germain before their pursuit hit a stumbling block due to the involvement of Barcelona.

The Catalan giants have also contacted the Argentine winger, who appears to be leaning towards the idea of moving to Camp Nou.

The Bianconeri had previously offered a two-year deal, which Di Maria turned down as he wanted a one-year deal because of his desire to return to his homeland in 2023.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Juve are ready to meet the Argentine winger’s expectations by offering him a short one-year deal with improved terms.

The deal also includes an option of extension for another year, but Juve are still waiting for the final decision from the 34-year-old.

David Neres blow

Juve have suffered a huge blow in the pursuit of David Neres, who has agreed to join Portuguese giants Benfica.

It was reported days ago that the Old Lady were looking at the possibility of signing the former Ajax winger on a cut-price deal but could face competition from Benfica.

As feared, the Portuguese heavyweights have won the race for Neres, who will pen a new five-year deal. Medicals are also scheduled sooner for the Brazilian winger.

Morata returns to Atletico Madrid

Alvaro Morata has returned to Atletico Madrid after the end of his two-year loan spell with the Turin giants, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Juve have been trying to make the Spaniard’s transfer a permanent one but to little or no effect as Los Rojiblancos were not budging from their €35 million valuation.

Romano also adds that the Old Lady have given up their pursuit, meaning that Morata will remain with Atletico in the summer.
