The battle for top spot in Group G comes to a head in Orlando as Manchester City and Juventus go head-to-head with an eye to avoid one of the tournament favourites in the knockouts.
Both European giants have already booked their respective places in the round of 16, convincingly beating Wydad AC and Al Ain to each boast a goal difference of eight after two games.
Now comes the biggest test of the competition for both sides, with the prospect of dodging likely Group H winners Real Madrid in the next round acting as a major motivation.
Man City will need to buck the trend of poor results against The Old Lady if they want the easier draw, though, having lost three of their previous four meetings against the Italian titans over the past 15 years.
John Stones has insisted he wants to stay at Manchester City and hopes to “shut down” any suggestions he will leave this summer.
Manager Pep Guardiola said he wants to trim his squad, which he described as “too long”, and now has seven centre-backs after the January signings of Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov. And Stones, 31, is about to enter the last year of his contract, having only started six Premier League games in an injury-hit campaign.
But the England international, who has not played since February, is adamant he has no intention of leaving the Etihad Stadium.
“I want to stay here,” Stones said. “I love it. I’m here to help the team. I don’t know if there’s been any speculation [about going], but I hope that this kind of shuts it down.”

Manchester City linchpin Rodri admits it could be some time before he gets back to his best as he edges nearer a return from an ACL injury.
The Spain international said: “I feel very good and very happy to be here. It’s an amazing tournament to start again to play football. I’m really excited to join the team again.
“I feel very, very strong, to be honest. The (recovery) process was long, but I was taking my time. The most important thing was to keep focused and be strong, not be sad or whatever.
“One day I would come back and this day has finally come. I know it’s still going to be months until I reach my level but I’m so happy.”
The Ballon d’Or-winning midfielder missed most of the 2024-25 season after suffering a serious knee injury.

Claudio Echeverri will likely be absent for Manchester City’s crunch match with Juventus tonight after being spotted on crutches wearing a protective boot earlier this week.
The 19-year-old revelled in an attacking role and scored from a free-kick as City thrashed Al Ain of Abu Dhabi 6-0 in Atlanta to secure their place in the last 16 of the Club World Cup.
Yet the Argentinian, who only made his debut in the FA Cup final last month after arriving from River Plate in January, was forced off at half-time with a twisted ankle.
It was a disappointing end to a promising performance and one that suggested the youngster could have a role to play in Guardiola’s reshaped squad in the coming season.
Guardiola said Echeverri was “a little bit sore” and had to be replaced at the interval.
Echeverri scored his first City goal in the 6-0 Club World Cup win over Al Ain but was forced off at half-time.
