  1. Date: Tuesday, 4th November.
  2. Kick-off: 8pm BST.
  3. Venue: Allianz Stadium, Torino.

Juventus team news

Juventus face several significant absences for this fixture. Centre-back Gleison Bremer will remain sidelined until early January 2026 after undergoing surgery for a torn medial meniscus in his left knee, a setback that has severely impacted the club’s defensive stability.

Defender Juan Cabal is also unavailable until mid-November due to a thigh injury, whilst goalkeeper Carlo Pinsoglio (leg injury) and full-back Lloyd Kelly (muscle injury) are expected to return mid-November. Kenan Yildiz and Arkadiusz Milik are also doubts for the clash.

Dusan Vlahovic, the Serbian striker, has scored three goals in 10 Serie A appearances this season and boasts seven goal involvements across all competitions.

Sporting CP team news

Sporting CP will be without several key players. Midfielder Daniel Braganca remains sidelined until the end of the season with an ACL injury, whilst midfielder Morten Hjulmand faces a one-game suspension after receiving a second yellow card.

Left-back Nuno Santos is also unavailable with an ACL injury, and defender Zeno Debast is expected to return mid-November. Right-back Ivan Fresneda, who limped off against Alverca, is a significant doubt and may be replaced by Georgios Vagiannidis.

Despite these absences, Sporting possesses a fearless squad capable of causing problems. Pedro Goncalves, who has scored eight goals and provided six assists in 15 appearances across competitions this season, will be the primary creative and attacking outlet for Rui Borges’s men.

Form

Juventus

New manager Luciano Spalletti has taken the reins at the club following Igor Tudor’s dismissal after an eight-match winless run, and has already made an immediate impact with a 2-1 away victory against Cremonese on his debut. The 66-year-old, fresh from his spell as Italy national team coach, has opted to implement his tactical expertise and will be keen to engineer a Champions League revival.

The Champions League campaign of Juventus has been disastrous, accumulating just 2 points from their opening three fixtures and sitting 25th in the new league phase standings. Notable defeats to Real Madrid (0-1) and draws against Borussia Dortmund and Villarreal have left Juventus’ European journey in a bad state.

Sporting CP

The Portuguese outfit arrives in Turin in exceptional form and confidence running high after their 2-1 comeback victory against Olympique de Marseille in their last Champions League encounter.

Coach Rui Borges has expertly managed his squad’s European ambitions whilst maintaining domestic success, with his team sitting second in Liga Portugal. In the Champions League, they have accumulated 6 points from three matches.

Predicted lineups

Juventus: Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Rugani, Gatti; Cambiaso, Thuram, Locatelli, Koopmeiners, Kostic; Openda, Vlahovic.

Sporting CP: Silva; Vagiannidis, Diomande, Inacio, Araujo; Hjulmand, Morita; Quenda, Trincao, Goncalves; Suarez.
