Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram dedicated his performance during Saturday evening’s 2-0 Serie A win over Udinese to former Bianconeri midfielder Paul Pogba, revealing that he ‘celebrated like him’ as he is his ‘favourite player’.
Thuram was technically not on the scoresheet against Udinese, as his first-half effort went down as an own goal after Maduka Okoye got in the way of the rebound after the Frenchman’s initial shot hit the post. Nicolo Savona had put Juventus 2-0 up a quarter of an hour later.

“We showed that we are a great team. You can see it when we play like we did in the first half,” Thuram told DAZN during his post-match interview.
It was at that moment he was informed that his shot had gone down as an own goal. It would have been Thuram’s first in Bianconeri colours had the credit gone his way.
He then went on to dedicate his performance to Pogba.
“Oh, was it an own-goal? It doesn’t matter, the important thing is that we won. I celebrated like Pogba, my favourite player. I try to play like him and I did it for him today. I’m happy to be here with great players, I’m learning every day.”
Juventus’s win has temporarily lifted them back up into third in the Serie A table on 21 points after 11 matches, although their position could still change depending on results later on this weekend.
