Kabuscorp SCP head coach Roberto Bianchi lift lid on their nightmare before the return leg clash against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

The Angolan outfit was knocked out of the CAF Confederation Cup after a penalty shootout defeat to Amakhosi following a one-all aggregate scoreline across the two legs.

Prior to the second leg of the first preliminary round, Kabuscorp had visa issues which saw them touch down in South Africa with a depleted squad.

Furthermore, the 2025 Angolan Cup winners refused to conduct their mandatory MD-1 training at FNB Stadium and declined Chiefs’ transportation offer, arriving late to the pre-match press conference.

“About the bus issue, I don’t understand the administrative side of it too and it’s something beyond my control,” said the Kabuscorp mentor when quizzed about the ordeal.

“But you’re right, five players couldn’t come – four of whom are starters and today [Saturday] we had 16 players and three goalkeepers among the 16.

Despite missing the spine of his team, the former Petro de Luanda boss insists the players he had at his disposal should have executed the game plan to perfection.

“It made it a little difficult but that’s not an excuse because those who were here should have done better. I was also supposed to do something,” Bianchi added.
