Kaio Jorge has been linked with Benfica in recent weeks, but the Cruzeiro striker is not among the club’s priorities to bolster the attack for 2026/27, according to Glorioso 1904.

The name of the 24-year-old does not figure on the shortlist identified for this window as the hierarchy led by Rui Costa and head coach Marco Silva assess other profiles. Benfica are monitoring the striker market and remain open to opportunities, but they do not view his attributes as the right fit for the role.

At Cruzeiro, he has regained prominence, rediscovering the qualities that took him to Europe at a young age. Strong recent displays in Belo Horizonte have increased interest around him and prompted links to several clubs, including Benfica.

Despite that speculation, the focus in Lisbon is on other, higher-priority files and there is no intention to open talks for the forward. The scouting department has alternative attacking options noted.

Following full recovery from a serious injury during his Juventus spell, Kaio Jorge has re-established himself in Brazil, with a valuation of 25 million euros. He scored 26 goals in 2025 and has 12 so far in 2026.
