Kaiserslautern sign Dortmund academy forward Tazemeta

Kaiserslautern have signed Borussia Dortmund academy forward Thierry Tazemeta ahead of next season. The 18-year-old moves to Betzenberg after a standout year.

According to BuLi News, the Austria U-21 attacker can play across the front three. He made 27 appearances for Dortmund's U-19s last season, producing 15 goals and nine assists.

Sporting director Marcel Klos hailed him as a top international talent and highlighted his technique, power and pace. He noted Tazemeta's runs in behind and views him as a versatile option in attack.

Tazemeta said he could not turn down a club with such tradition and was thrilled when the offer arrived. He added that talks with the hierarchy left him feeling trusted.

He joins as Kaiserslautern prepare for next season in the second tier.
