Kaizer Chiefs have been dealt with a major setback ahead of their Betway Premiership clash against Richards Bay at a sold-out uMhlathuze Sports Complex on Tuesday (19h30).

The Glamour Boys will be looking to bounce back from their heavy Soweto derby defeat to bitter rivals Orlando Pirates over the weekend.

Chiefs conceded three unanswered goals to make it back-to-back league defeats, which had them dropping to fifth on the log standings with 30 points from 17 league outings.

Now, with the Natal Rich Boys' test awaiting in KwaZulu-Natal, the Naturena-based outfit will have to do without the services of vice captain Zitha Kwinika.

Moreover, Given Msimango and Rushwin Dortley are still out injured, while the influential Inacio Miguel was withdrawn in the Soweto derby after passing a late fitness test prior to the game.

Captain Brandon Petersen, on the other hand, missed the clash against Pirates due to an emergency surgery he had to undergo.

With Chiefs in desperate need for maximum points to redeem themselves, it remains to be seen whether they can overcome Richards Bay with a thin defence.
