Abu Kamara 82nd-minute goal earned Hull City a point at home to play-off chasing Coventry City.
In what was an entertaining game at the MKM Stadium, the game somehow went into half-time goalless.
Kasey Palmer really should have scored in the 38th minute when he had a shot blocked off the line and then the follow up also cleared off the line with the visitors somehow managing to clear the ball while avoiding scoring an own goal.
But there was goals after the break with Matt Grimes scoring from a fairly tame effort that took a wicked deflection to take it past Ivor Pandur.
The Tigers really should have equalised in the 75th minute when Lewie Coyle had an effort from 12 yards out that he really should have at least hit the target with but instead sent the ball over the bar.
Rúben Selles' side eventually pulled level after two substitutes combined. Nordin Amrabat sent in a long ball out to the right for Abu Kamara who had space to run in. At first it looked like Kamara was far too wide to score but he gave goalkeeper Bradley Collins the eyes before a cheeky finish at the goalkeeper's near post sealed the points.
Both sides would surely have preferred the three points but Coventry City remain sixth and in a play-off place, three points clear of the chasing pack of West Brom (who they play next), Middlesbrough, and Millwall.
20th-place Hull meanwhile move to three points clear of Cardiff City in the relegation zone before their next game away to Swansea City.
