Kane contract talks with Bayern thought to be more complicated

The length of a potential new contract seems to be a key sticking point between Bayern Munich and Harry Kane, as Fussball Transfers writes.

At 33, the Englishman doesn't see himself as being in the twilight of his career; fulling intending to even play at the 2030 World Cup.

However, Bayern also needs to exercise some common sense, as a decline in performance is quite conceivable for a player in his mid-30s.

"Not much has changed in the last few days. We are in discussions," said CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen after their 5-0 win over Bodø/Glimt

"He showed once again today that he is one of the top strikers in Europe. And that we have every right to be talking to each other," Dreesen added.

Kane himself echoed a similar sentiment to that of Dreesen stating “there were talks this week. And as I said, a contract isn't formed overnight.

“These things take time. We're looking at how we can create the best possible outcome for everyone involved,” the striker explained.

Kane, for his part, can also imagine moving outside of Europe again at some point, reportedly with an eye on the MLS.
