Scorers: Kane 2′, pen 56′, 74′, Lucas 21, Lo Celso 36′, 39, Alli pen 90′; Chery 17′, Rukavytsya pen 54
Maccabi Haifa learned the hard way not to wind up opponents up before the game as Harry Kane ruthlessly put them to the sword to sends Spurs into the Europa League group stage.
He had been the subject of an offensive video before the game from one of the Maccabi players and responded with a hat-trick to silence the insults.
Giovani Lo Celso broke out of his funk to score twice for José Mourinho’s men, with Lucas Moura providing the other and Dele Alli returning off the bench to score an injury-time penalty.
It is also exactly a year to the day since another Spurs home game in Europe ended with this scoreline – although this time they are on the right side of it!
Scorers: Geraldes 72′, Gelson 91′; Saelemaekers 51, Calhanoglu pen 120′
Alexis Saelemaekers fired Milan ahead in this one after half-time with a smart half-volley from just inside the area but Chico Geraldes’ fine strike has levelled for the hosts, resulting in extra-time.
A goal for each side in the very first minute (Rio Ave) and the last (Milan) of the additional 30 minutes sent the contest to a shoot-out in difficult rainy conditions.
Both sides took some very impressive kicks from 12 yards and some disastrous ones (both goalkeepers blazing over) as it made its way through the order a second time before the Rossoneri finally put Rio Ave out of their misery and survived an almighty scare.
Scorers: Arfield 52′, Tavernier 59′; Marcao 87′
There will be two Scottish sides in the Europa League group stages after Rangers joined their city rivals with an impressive win over Galatasaray.
Scott Arfield fired the Gers ahead after the break and captain James Tavernier’s seventh goal in as many games sent Steven Gerrard’s men through despite the late scare from a Gala goal.
Scorers: Édouard 70′
Odsonne Édouard’s first goal in four games proved enough to fire Celtic into the group stages of the Europa League for the third successive season.
As in Riga the previous week, the Hoops were largely underwhelming again but the Frenchman struck late after a shot was spilled in the area to fire the Hoops to victory.
